Patterns of Earth
2021
In partnership with Pietro Estrada
The sculpture Patterns of the Earth is a piece we created based on the topography of the Sierra de las Minas, a mountain range located in the northeast of Guatemala. It runs west to east, with a length of 130 km and a width ranging from 15 to 30 km. Its rugged and pronounced topography makes the sculpture visually interesting in terms of volume. The concept is that it resembles a sheet of paper floating on the wall of the space it decorates.
This piece can be made in matte white or finished with a gold, bronze, or silver leaf. We also apply a matte varnish to protect the entire surface.
This piece can be customized, meaning different topographies can be created according to the client’s request. It is available through Piegatto and Artsy.
Measurements: 2.40m x 2.40m x 0.25m
