Buho is a new design initiative. Using precious woods from the Guatemalan rainforest, we create culinary tools that strengthen the bond between chefs or cooking-aficionados and their love for cooking by creating unique, high-quality tools for the craft.

The project began with a line of cutting boards and butcher blocks. Each piece is made out of the end grain of various precious woods, and features a unique pattern. We work together with master craftsmen who, through their thorough work, give a warm touch of life and their own personal twists to our pieces. Much like anything worthwhile, these boards are the result of a mix of artistry, functionality, clever design, and a burning passion for our craft. In the end, we hope that our product becomes a medium for another artist to create something they love.
